Psychotherapy
Psychotherapy
as I understand and apply it, is the art and science of adjusting
someones thoughts, feelings and actions to fit his true nature and
purpose. To find that true nature we have to get old memories out of the way.
So
many of us hold thoughts and feelings and do things, that hinder them
in living to their true potential. We have to get rid of all the
acquired layers of our personalities to get to the core. This core is
the part of us that is still healthy and well and from there we can
really be ourselves.
Every good psychotherapy (no matter which kind) in my opinion needs to accomplish two goals:
- It needs to help you gain an awarness of and release your patterns (of thoughts, feelings, actions) that keep you from creating a life you truely want and enjoy. There are many different modalities and techniques available today. In my therapies I accomplish that with different psychotherapeutic methods like focusing, cognitive methods and mainly with techniques from the field of energy psychology.
- Psychotherapy
needs to assist you in learning new life skills that replace your old
habits. Habits are formed over many many years during your own life and
often even in generations before you. The best investment on your part
is to commit to learning new ways of thinking, feeling and being once
you have cleared old habits. You need to practice that until it becomes
easy and natural.
You can choose what kind of support most suits you in your current situation. Please contact me for further questions.
