Nutritional Psychology
Nutritional Psycholgy deals with the connections between thinking, feeling and acting and nutrition. Simply put with the food – mood – connection.
We are a system of energies (see energy therapy). Food is also energy. By putting certain foods in the body we can support or inhibit our bodies ability to function well and to heal. Just like thinking and feeling in a way that boosts our energy we can use food in that way.
Sometimes certain negative emotions have their origin in the simple fact that we feed our body things it cannot use properly. Food that the body cannot use to produce a stable good mood.
We are all different beings with different bodies and body chemistries. What is exactly the right food for one person, can be quite the wrong one for another. It is important to choose foods that are right for your specific needs.
We do have an inborn capacity of knowing what food is nourishing for us. Most of us have lost that, because so called experts (parents, doctors, the food industry) always knew better than us and certain foods are highly addictive.
In my therapies I aim for guiding you back to know and do what´s right for you. Guidelines are based on your unique body chemistry and you will learn to listen to your bodies own feedback.
The right nutrition for your body can highly support you to get into higher, more positive and joyful mood states - and to stay there. By learning to choose the right food for you, you can profoundly support your healing process.
Disclaimer: Even though I use my knowledge in a most responsible way I want to point out that I am not a certified nutritionist or medical doctor, but a psychotherapist. Every client is fully responsible for his well-being and health and for applying nutritional suggestions made in the Therapy Program. It is not meant to be as a substitute for medical treatment or a consultation with a nutritionist.
